In his early days at the Portuguese Space Agency, Pedro experienced what we might call a ‘full circle moment.’ After participating in EuRoC between 2020 and 2022 as a member of the Rocket Experiment Division team, he returned to the competition in 2025 as part of the organisation.

Between completing his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico and joining the Agency, he barely stopped. He went straight into a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering at ISAE-SUPAERO in Toulouse, followed by a move to Paris for an internship at the European Space Agency — an experience he would later repeat at the Portuguese Space Agency. And before finally joining our Space Safety and Space Transportation team, he made yet another leap: Seoul, South Korea, for the International Space University’s Space Studies Programme that same year.

When he is not travelling, he devotes himself to studying History and International Relations. Or playing ultimate frisbee — talk to him about this sport, and you will immediately make a friend.
