Marta Gonçalves

Science & Education Officer

Marta developed an early interest in how things work and a fascination for Space, which proved to be the perfect combination when she entered the Aerospace Engineering Master’s program.

Motivated by the intersection of people, technology, Space, science, and society, she worked as a researcher, studying the impact of technological change in the aerospace sector. In 2019, she joined the team at the Portuguese Space Agency, focusing on Education and Science. She helped implement projects like the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC) and Astronaut for a Day, as well as Space Science, supporting activities conducted by the Portuguese academia, particularly those linked to international organizations.

If you can’t find her at the Agency, she’s likely traveling and exploring new destinations—even if it’s through the pages of a book or the aromas and flavors that bring life to her kitchen.
