Pedro Coimbra
Education Officer
Pedro Coimbra holds a degree in Geology from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon. Initially, he worked in the fields of Petroleum and Agriculture before specializing in Planetary Geology, where he worked with meteorite samples likely originating from Mars. His interest in spacecraft, space travel, and satellites grew after discovering how planets formed and evolved into their current states.
Having worked for Ciência Viva and served as the project manager for ESERO Portugal, he developed a keen interest in STEM education and science communication for young people. He now contributes to the education projects team at the Agency, aiming to provide opportunities for Portuguese students to engage with the space sector.
In his free time, he can be found playing role-playing games on the computer, collectible card games, or reading history books. He has a fascination with Asia and tries to visit the continent at least once a year.
